What to expect

  1. Case status trackingCheck your USCIS case status by receipt number and see what each status usually means, in plain English. Track several cases, keep a timeline of every change, and get an email when a status changes. Case status will come through USCIS’s official developer API once USCIS approves our access; you can always check for free at uscis.gov.
  2. Civics test practiceAll 128 questions for the 2025 test, plus the 2008 test, with flashcards, practice quizzes and a realistic mock interview.
  3. Answers for your stateYour senators, representative, governor and state capital, for the civics questions that depend on where you live.
  4. English test practiceThe reading and writing vocabulary lists, with practice sentences and audio.
  5. Visa Bulletin trackerMonthly dates by category and country, their movement over time, and an “Is my priority date current?” check.
  6. Planning calculatorsWhen you may be able to apply for citizenship, a trips-abroad calculator, and green-card renewal and condition-removal windows. Estimates for planning, with the rules cited.
  7. Document checklistsPlain-English lists of what people usually gather for forms like the N-400 and I-485, with links to each form’s page on uscis.gov.
